Subscriber Alert
I've been contacted by a subscription agent to purchase a subscription to your magazine. Is this a legitimate offer?
We have received phone calls from our magazine subscribers informing us that they have received billing notices or solicitations to renew their magazine subscriptions from various subscription agents. The Taunton Press does have agreements with a small number of authorized agents to sell subscriptions; however, the agents listed below are not authorized to solicit renewals or new orders for any Taunton Press publication.

If you do not have your magazine label, just log on to your account here and use your email address and zip code or your full name and address to access your account information. Your account number will be on the left hand side panel of the screen above your mailing address.

How do I add or update my email address?
To add or update your email address, log on to your account here and look for "Change Your Address" link.

Delivery Timing of new subscriptions
Magazines ordered directly through our website takes 4-6 weeks for the first issue to arrive.
Orders through third parties depend greatly on that vendor's policies.
Domestic address — first issue arrives in approximately 3-4 weeks.
Canadian address — first issue arrives in approximately 4-6 weeks.
Foreign address — first issue arrives in approximately 6-8 weeks.
Australian address — first issue arrives in approximately 12 weeks.

When does my subscription end?
You can find the expiration date of your subscription on the address label of your magazine.

If you do not have your magazine label, just log on to your account here. Your subscription end date will be on the same line to the right of your subscription. You can also contact Customer Service via email or call on Mon — Fri 8 am to 4:30 pm CT.

Does my print subscription include any digital app/online archive/website formatted access?
A print subscription does include access to the digital edition of the magazine but it does not include any access to paid content on the website.

How do I report a duplicate/missing/damaged issue?
If your issue arrived damaged or it has been several weeks after the magazine's cover date and you have yet to receive it, we'll replace it. Just let us know by contacting our Customer Service via email or call Mon - Fri 8 am to 4:30 pm CT.

How do I renew my print magazine subscription that is not on automatic renewal?
We mail or email renewal notices to you prior to the end of your subscription period to be sure you have ample time to renew. You can renew your magazine subscription by completing and returning the notice. You can also log into your account and renew click here.

How do I order a print subscription?
Ordering a print subscription to any of our magazines is simple, start by clicking on the subscribe button on the homepage of each magazine's website.

How do I order a gift subscription?
Ordering a gift subscription to any Taunton publication is simple. Either click the subscribe button on the homepage (see links below) or contact Customer Service and we can help you place a print subscription order.

How do I cancel a subscription?
If you would like to cancel your print subscription, log on to your account here. Once logged in, click the "Cancel Subscription" link. Refunds for subscriptions are based on unserved issues.

Why have I been charged on my credit card?
A charge on your credit card statement that reads "TTP-Taunton Publisher" would be for a Taunton Press product. If you signed up for a print subscription online, you authorized us to charge the card you provided to renew your subscription at the then current subscription rate, until you tell us to stop. Toward the end of each term we send a reminder notice before your card is charged and if there is ever a problem with your card, we'll simply send you a bill. Of course you may change your automatic renewal status at any time by logging into your account and clicking "Manage Auto-Renew".

How do I update my credit card information?
Add or update your credit card information at any time by logging into your account and clicking "Update Your Credit Card".

How do I turn off automatic renewal of my print subscription?
Change your automatic renewal status at any time by logging into your account and and clicking "Manage Auto-Renew". Your subscription will then expire at the end of the current term and will not auto renew.

Temporary Delivery Suspension
If you need to temporarily suspend the delivery of your magazine, contact Customer Service during Mon — Fri 8 am to 4:30 pm CT.

Passwords are case sensitive and must be 8-20 letters and/or numbers.

How do I reset my password?
When you click Log in at the top of the web page, there is a "Forgot Password" or "Request New Password" link. Follow the instructions to reset your password.

Can I comment on articles online?
To post your comment, page down to the bottom of the article and log in to the site. You must be logged in to your registered account to comment. If you have never created an account, you will need to create an account to comment on an article.

How do I update my credit card information?

How do I order a gift membership?
Gift memberships can be ordered by clicking the "Gift a Membership" links on the member order pages on the website.

How do I cancel my membership?
If you would like to cancel your membership, log on to your account here, click on 'Contact Us' and send us a message detailing your cancel request. Refunds for annual memberships are based on unused months. Partial months are not refunded. For monthly memberships, no new charges will be posted after cancellation.

DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION (APP)
What is a digital subscription?
A digital subscription is an electronic version of the magazine that you can read on an Apple or Android device after you have gone to iTunes or Google Play and acquired the App. It includes all the features of a print magazine plus enhanced content. Print subscribers to any of our magazine get access to digital editions of the magazine.

How do I gain access to the digital edition of my magazine on my Apple or Android Device?
Download our app from your app store. Taunton Apps are available for Apple and Android devices.

What is my username/password to log into magazine app?
If you are a print magazine subscriber, you will need your email address and last name to log into the app. If you are a digital magazine subscriber, use your email address and last name.

How do I reset my password?

I have purchased a subscription through this app but I'm still being asked to pay for issues.
Purchasing a subscription directly through this app (at the iTunes or Google Play store) will make the most recent issue and any issues released within the time that your subscription remains active available to you. Issues published before your subscription started, or after your subscription expires will still need to be purchased.

Downloading issues of the magazine
If an issue is free or you have previously purchased it, you can tap the "Download" button to save the edition to your device. Please be patient while issues are downloading. There will be a bar to show the progress of your download, but these are large files and may take up to a few minutes. You must be connected to Wi Fi to download an issue. Once downloaded, it can be viewed offline.

Archiving issues of the magazine
On the shelf, if a magazine is saved on your device you will see an "Archive" button below the cover image. Tapping this once will archive the issue, helping to free up space on your device. Once archived, the issue will remain visible for you to download again at any time.

The application is using a lot of space on my device, how can I reduce this?
Each issue can be quite large. If a magazine issue is saved on your device you will see an "Archive" button below the cover. Tapping this once will archive the issue, helping to free up space on your device. Once archived, the issue will remain visible for you to download again at any time.

The magazine download keeps freezing, how can I restart it?
When you start a magazine download, the process is then taken over by your device's operating system. These downloads are usually very stable, but if you are having problems there are a few things you can do to try to get it working properly:

  • Connect the device to a Wi Fi connection, rather than trying to download over 3G, GPRS, etc.
  • Connect the device to a power source
  • Restart the device entirely - this will clear the download queue and you can start the process again from the beginning.
